What We Do
Throughout the school year, the PTA works hard to create fun and memorable experiences for our children and the wider community. Here’s a snapshot of what we organise:
School Discos
We host three themed school discos each year – Easter, Halloween, and Christmas – all held at Knelston Primary School. These events are exclusively for children currently attending the school and are always a highlight of the term!
Sunday Funday
Our annual Sunday Funday takes place on the first Sunday of July at the local sports club. This event is open to the entire community and promises a fantastic day out for all ages. Expect:

Adult Fundraiser Events
Once a year, we host a special adult fundraising event, thanks to the incredible support of local hospitality businesses. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed everything from black-tie evenings and race nights to festive Christmas parties. These events are not only great fun but also vital in raising funds to support our school.

Our Mission
At Knelston Primary School PTA, our aim is simple yet powerful: to support our pupils and staff so that every child receives the best possible education in a nurturing, inspiring environment. We want our children to leave primary school not only with strong academic foundations but also with memories that will last a lifetime.
What We Do
Over the years, our fundraising efforts have made a real difference. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve been able to provide essential everyday items such as books, pens, photocopier paper, class novels, and resources for general school maintenance. But our impact goes far beyond the basics.
We’ve funded whole-school trips, installed new flooring, and completed two major projects in recent years:

An outdoor agility trail to encourage active play and physical development.

A school minibus, opening up opportunities for trips, sports events, and enriching experiences beyond the classroom.
Ongoing Support
Behind the scenes, the PTA continues to support the school on a monthly basis. We cover:

Tax, MOT, insurance, and upkeep of the school minibus.

The cost of a specialist music teacher, who visits every Friday to inspire creativity and a love of music in our pupils.
Why It Matters
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our parents, carers, and local community. Together, we’re creating a school environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
